ORGANOGRAM FOR BARAKA AGRICULTURAL COLLEGEBaraka agricultural College was founded in 1974 by the Catholic Diocese of Nakuru to educate and train the newly settled farmers of Rift Valley. Since 1976, the college has been under the management of the Franciscan Brothers. In striving to fulfil its mission, Baraka College offers eight programmes, all of which focus on empowering rural communities in Eastern Africa.
Governance and management structures of the college have been established in order to facilitate effective and efficient implementation of the above programmes with the goal of achieving sustainable development for rural communities. Baraka College governance is headed by a Board of Trustees that is chaired by the Diocese of Nakuru Bishop. The College Governing Council that falls below the Trustees implements policy decisions. The College Principal works closely with the governing council as its Secretary while ensuring effective implementation of all the college programmes. The college principal has a Deputy Principal who deputises in most functions of the college. The next level is the Heads of Departments most of whom are answerable to the Deputy Principal. Next to the heads of departments are the Coordinators heading respective Sub-departments. |
