2009/10 RECRUITMENT
The interviews and applications are on going and qualified students will be reporting
on 31st August 2009 to begin their studies.
2009 BARAKA FARMERS FIELD DAY
Baraka farmers’ field day for this year was held on June 26, 2009.
The theme was “Achiving Sustainable livelihoods through responsive education
programmes in Agricuture and rural development”. 931 farmers from various parts of the country
attended. The success of the day was contributed to by various exhibitors
from 17 different organizations (Churches, NGOs. Government departments, Ministries,
CBOs and Baraka
Agricultural College)
Of importance for the day was experience sharing, learning of practical
oriented skills and demonstrations in the various exhibition stands. The chief
guest for the day was Deputy Provincial Director of Livestocks in Rift Valley Mrs. Mary Gaithuma, who emphasised on the
importance of sustainable agriculture. Read more

to attend our short and day release courses which are available to farmers

2009 BARAKA SCHOOLS' AGRICULTURAL DAY
Schools’ agricultural day was held on June 24, 2009 and 2,890
students from 52 different institutions (Primary schools, secondary schools
and colleges) attended. The theme of this year’s field day is
“Achieving sustainable livelihoods through responsive
education programmes in agriculture and rural development”. Schools
had an opportunity to exhibit some of their activities that were in line
with the days’ theme. They also leant a lot from other schools
including Baraka
Agricultural College students. The day's chief Guest
was Mr. Muhunyu,Director NECOFA.


CULTURAL DAY
This Year's cultural day was held on 8th May 2009.The theme was " Traditional foods,dances and arts,a way of life
for sustainable livelihood.It's main aim is to appreciate the different cultural diversity within the Eastern africa communities.
Chief guest was Rift valley Provincial music director Mr. Ariembee Rutto
2008 GRADUATION CEREMONY
Graguation ceremony for the 2007/08 class was held on 5th December,where 85 student graduated with Certificate in sustainable agriculture and rural development(CSARD) and 1o students graduated with a Diploma(DSARD)
